FRIDAY 30th May
20:00 hrs:A briefing for masters will take place on
Gillingham Pier by kind permission of the Gillingham Pier Association.

Barges may lay off Gillingham Pier well clear of Bull Nose Dockyard entrance.
Last year's prize winners are requested to return their trophies (polished) to Geoff Gransden.

SATURDAY 31st May

Start times -
River Class: 11:00 am
Restricted Staysail Class: 11.15 am
Coasting Class: 11:30 am
Bowsprit Class: 11.45 am
Ten minute gun and Flag B, and 5 minute gun and Flag P will precede the starts in all classes.
(Note extra classes for Centenary Match)


Committee Boat: Medway Surveyor courtesy of the Medway Ports Authority.

Tender: A tug will act as tender to the Committee Boat courtesy of Alan Pratt.

Course (weather permitting) From Gillingham Pier to Medway Buoy and return.
Alternative courses may be set by the Committee, to be advised at the briefing.

Prizegiving: 19:00 hours to be held at the ST. Georges Centre, Pembroke Gate, Chatham.
Hot meals available, tickets must be booked inadvance on 01634 365343. Menu available on Website (www.medwaybargematch.co.uk). Bar facilities open.

Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle
will be sailing from Chatham Historic Dockyard to follow the race.

A revised set of Rules and Regulations will be sent to each barge on receipt of an entry form and the match fee of £15.00. The skipper of each barge will have to make his own decision if the weather is suitable or not to participate in the Match.
